This architectural wall piece explores the interplay of shadow and form through stark geometric planes. In deep charcoal, the sculpture creates a bold statement through its angular composition, with offset rectangular forms that appear to slide and stack against one another.
This piece plays with spatial perception, as each segment seems to float and shift, creating a dynamic tension between positive and negative space. The matte finish absorbs and deflects light, emphasising the dramatic transitions between each geometric plane.
Drawing inspiration from abstract interpretations of natural formations, the sculpture suggests the raw geometry found in rock faces and geological strata, translated into a contemporary minimalist language. Its composition challenges traditional spatial relationships while maintaining a connection to organic architectural forms.
