A convergence of design between Corde macrame's Lea Oldjohn and Lara Hutton :
Drawing inspiration from nature's organic rhythms, this sculptural piece merges the fluidity of cord with the solidary nature of the concrete base. The vessel features a meticulously hand-wrapped cotton rope body that creates an undulating texture reminiscent of rippling water or wind-carved sandstone.
The base, crafted from raw concrete, exhibits a deliberate deterioration that mirrors the natural erosion of coastal cliffs. The neutral palette unifies the piece while emphasising the interplay of textures and shadows.
This vessel tells a story of natural transformation, where structured form meets organic decay. Perfect as a standalone sculptural element or as a distinctive vessel, this piece brings the contemplative beauty of eroded landscapes into contemporary spaces.
Care: Dust gently with a soft brush. Keep away from moisture to preserve the natural texture of both materials.
